The 2008 Houston Marine Insurance Seminar is scheduled for September 21-23, 2008.
Marine Insurance Seminars, Inc. is a non-profit organization, run by a committee
of volunteers from our industry. The purpose of the organization is to assist young,
bright talent at the University level to attain the education required for careers
related to marine insurance. Over the past ten years, the seminar has given in excess
of $1,000,000 for program assistance, scholarships and library assistance to further
education in Marine and Energy Insurance and Admiralty Law. Last year the seminar
was able to distribute $150,000 for these purposes. We thank you for your past and
continued support. Without you, we have no seminar.

The Westin Galleria has set up a web site where you can book on line
for the Marine Insurance Seminar and get our discount. This is a very convenient
way to reserve your room at a great rate. The web site is up and running right now,
so book soon!
Spouses or dates of registrants are invited as guests of the Houston Marine Insurance
Seminar for cocktail parties scheduled for Sunday and Monday evenings. Admission
to the cocktail parties requires either a registrant badge or a specific guest badge,
which will be made available at the registration desk. No other official activities
are planned.
The Monday night cocktail party will follow the speeches from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM
in the lobby outside the ballroom. This is being done to accommodate a growing number
of companies that have hospitality suites, cocktail parties or dinners on Monday
night.
